Artisanal Wood

Sumatra Sinking Malaccensis

From the deep forests of Sumatra, we bring you a sinking-grade wild Aquilaria Malaccensis agarwood, sourced from a grandmother tree. This rare and unique wood has been carefully harvested and hand-selected to offer you the highest quality sinking chips. We have three separate batches from the same tree, each differing in quality, so you can choose the perfect one to suit your needs.  This description pertains to the sinking-grade batch.

When gently heated on a heater, the wood oozes and bubbles with some black dark resin, releasing a complex and enchanting aroma. You will be greeted with the fresh and invigorating scent of mint, which slowly gives way to the sweet and warm notes of vanilla and caramel. As the fragrance develops, you'll notice a subtle hint of ginger that adds depth and complexity to the scent profile.

These sinking Sumatra chips are fragrantly resin dense and pack quite the olfactory punch! Heating a chip starts off with a peekaboo round between mint and ginger. Dialing the heat up releases a minty vanilla that slowly morphs into a caramel haze, only softened and balanced by that same ginger at the start. As you start nearing the end of the burn, the sweetness increases, a vanilla and caramel take over and morph into that resinous Oudy sweetness we’re always fond off as the wood begins to darken.

This wild Aquilaria Malaccensis wood from Sumatra is a true masterpiece of nature, and its unique scent is sure to captivate your senses. Whether you're using it for meditation, aromatherapy, or simply to create a relaxing ambiance in your home, these sinking chips are a must-have for any agarwood enthusiast. Experience the beauty and complexity of this rare wood today and indulge in its minty, vanilla, caramel, and ginger notes.
